ith spring officially in season, the beauty scene is eagerly mirroring the transition. While the outgoing season was characterized by softer makeup looks, the heat is getting turned on for spring as seen on Black celebrities and top beauty influencers— think colorful eyes, brighter highlights, and of course, unapologetically bold lips!
It’s the reason we love Spring. Few climates offer the ability to get flexible with makeup and hair, and with that flexibility certainly comes creativity. From the resurrection of the floating liner to the reinstating of metallic tones, this is definitely the season to be daring. Luckily, we can always trust Black Stars to deliver on the assignment, and boy, did they come through last week!

Every season comes with its own beauty trends and Spring is no exception. This season, metallic hues are dominating the scene — from runway shows to our Instagram feeds — and celebs are nodding in agreement. Last week, we spotted American actress, Tia Mowry glittering in bronze-tone metallic eyeshadow and we really couldn’t take our eyes off her.
Another star to steal our hearts in a shimmering option is Nigeria’s Agbani Darego. Her silver shadow paired with black liner and witchy lashes called for a dramatic pop to her beautiful eyes. Beyond the eyes, the former Miss World put her contour to good use for a face-chiseling effect.
Makeup
Music sensation Chloe Bailey is undoubtedly a sucker for adventure. Whether it’s with her music, fashion, makeup, or hair, the star always seeks to cause a scene, and don’t we just love her for it! Last week she took her hair game to the edge in a half-up, half-down coily hairdo that made a case for volume. The “Have Mercy” singer captioned the look: you are my sunshine, and yes, we agree!
