In preparation for the Royal wedding between Prince Henry Charles Albert David simply known as Prince Harry and Rachel Meghan Markle due to take place this Saturday, May 19th at Windsor Castle in England, we’re taking focus on the couple’s style and revealing what their style says about the strength of their union, especially considering all the drama from the Markle side of the family in the last couple of months.
If you haven’t heard about the royal wedding before now, then you must have been literally hiding under a rock. As the rest of the world have been busy keeping up with all things royal wedding, Meghan’s older step-siblings, Samantha and Thomas Markle Jr. have been busy defaming her character in the weeks and days leading up to the wedding; but the worst happened when it was revealed earlier this week that her father, Thomas Markle Sr., colluded with paparazzi to stage photos showing the senior Markle preparing for the wedding in Mexico where he resides. This, and according to him the need for medical treatment for a heart issue has led to him ultimately deciding not to attend his daughter’s wedding.
All the drama have left fans and supporters wondering if Meghan and Prince Harry’s love will survive and for how long? After all, so much family drama is never a good foundation for a new marriage. But the cues to whether the lovebird’s love will last is no farther away from them than in their style.
Since revealing their relationship, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have consistently complemented each other’s style. This goes to show that they are in sync with one another and may very well be the best indication that they have mutual love and admiration for each other that will help them overcome the current hiccups they are facing and any other hurdles they’ll face in the future.
Before meeting the American TV star, Prince Harry’s style was more casual and preppy but with Meghan in his life, his style evolved to a polished, modern and more prince-like look. He upped his fashion game and we are loving every bit of his new look as we can now say goodbye to the days of boxy, oversized designs. Meghan, on the other hand, was a stylish actress but had to up her wardrobe to suit her soon to be royal status.
The Suits actress was one who would wear the latest trends on the red carpet but had to forgo the mini skirts and bandeau dresses for chic coats, pointy pumps, elegant fascinators and tailored separates while still being elegant, modern and on-trend. As both their styles morphed to take on a more modern royal look, we noticed that the two more often than not wear similar or complementary pieces and colours favouring bold and solid hues like navy blue, black and ivory. As they become one on Saturday, we can’t wait to see how their style as a couple continues to evolve.
