Wande Coal Joins The Amapiano Wave With ‘Come My Way’ + More Trending New African Songs

Saving the best for last seems to be the motto of African artists in the year 2021. Considering the array of songs that have been released in the last quarter of this year, we’d say we love their strategic releases. This week is no different. Take Wande coal for example, who after the pleadings from global fans, has blessed us with a new amapiano groove titled Come My Way.

Over in South Africa, Sun-El Musician finally dropped the full Bestfriend track which has been in heavy rotation in the SA house scene ever since he shared a bit of it during one of his live sessions. Other artists across Africa released groovy songs this week and we’ve made a list of the trending and hottest ones.

#1. Wande Coal – Come My Way

Wande Coal, the highly talented Nigerian vocalist, has come through with Come My Way, his highly anticipated single. The musician announced the release of the single on his Instagram page in the early hours of Thursday. The less than four-minute song, which is an Amapiano-inclined sound, was produced by Bruno and Screwface. Black Diamond, as Wande Coal is popularly called, said the song was released to show gratitude for the “blessing coming my way even through difficult times.”

#2. Mayorkun ft. Victony – Holy Father

Nigerian superstar singer Mayorkun has hit again with another banging number titled Holy Father enlisting the talent of rising star Victony on this one. With his Back In Office album released today, the Nigerian Afropop star proved just why he is fast becoming a powerhouse in the Nigerian music industry. Victony, who blessed the song with his sweet and catchy voice, proves his capability and potential on the Semzi-produced song.

#3. Niniola ft. Lady Du – I Did It (Bum bum)

Nigeria’s dancehall singer, Niniola is back with another dance hit titled I Did It. The song is another phenomenal record that rises from the Amapiano genre. After her last amapiano hit, Too Sweet, fans have been waiting for the artist to make another amapiano rendering and she did. This time, featuring South African DJ and artist, Lady Du who brought the Mzansi energy to the song.

#4. Buju – Never Stopped

Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, Buju, has bounced back into the music scene, with this fabulous song he titles Never Stopped, as one of his 2021 singles. The record is one of the hit tracks which makes up his newly released project called Sorry I’m Late. He infused some unique and genuine creativity in his vocals, sure to uplift spirits across the nation. The song was solely produced by Timi Jay.

#5. Sun-EL Musician ft. Msaki – Bestfriend

Award-winning prolific singer and songwriter who adopted the stage name Sun-EL Musician has joined forces with Msaki to release this beautiful tune titled Bestfriend. Bestfriend has been trending as the most requested afro house music track in SA clubs for a while now after the track was performed on his Redbox session, but today he decides to deliver the full original track. The track is in his just-released project African Electronic Dance Music EP.
