Usher is the latest celebrity to receive an honorary degree. The Berklee College Of Music in Boston honored the “GLU” singer, during which he watched the graduates perform a few of his smash hits, including “Yeah!,” “U Remind Me” and “Burn” before joining them for “Without You.” He delivered a speech to more than 1,200 graduates, encouraging them to “break the barriers.” “My goal as an artist has always been to inspire people to make a positive impact through my music, to make you feel something, and last night I felt proud…of the legacy that has been built and that we’re building together as artists,” Usher said.
Usher urged the graduating class to “keep running past that finish line [of your goals], break the barriers, identify that spark in you that motivates you to keep going, and don’t expect everything to be perfect and run smoothly. …Take what you’ve learned here [at Berklee], go into the world, and make great things.”

Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun has remanded the Afrobeats musician, Seun Kuti, for 48 hours in police custody for allegedly assaulting a police officer. Kuti, in a 12-second video clip that went viral on May 13, was seen assaulting a policeman on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State. The defendant turned himself in at the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja, on Monday, following an order for his arrest by the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba.
He was later transferred to the state’s Criminal Investigation Department, Panti and was, on Tuesday, arraigned before a Yaba Magistrate’s Court for assault on a police officer, an offence contrary to Section 356 of the Nigerian Criminal Code Act. The magistrate reading out her ruling said she would not rely on police investigation hence she remanded the defendant for 48 hours in police custody. She adjourned the case till May 23.

The singer had his fans marveling at his international stardom after Chris Brown shared on Instagram stories Lloyiso’s single “Run” from his debut EP “Seasons.” “Run is about breaking those boundaries that hold you back from living your best life. It’s about letting go of those fears and letting your mind free,” he said.
Since entering the singing competition Idols SA aged 16, Lloyiso has grown from strength to strength. He has performed for David and Victoria Beckham and made history as the first South African artist to sign with Republic Records.

Jamie Foxx‘s undisclosed medical complication last month led to an outpouring of support for the Oscar-winning actor. It also led to theories about what he was going through as his family remained tight-lipped on his status. But Foxx is well on his road to recovery now. On May 15, it was reported that the “Ray” star is in Chicago and receiving medical treatment at a facility touted as the top physical medicine and rehabilitation center in the U.S. The facility specializes in stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury rehab, spinal cord injury rehab, and cancer rehabilitation, but the details around his case remain unclear.
Foxx was in Atlanta filming a new Netflix movie, “Back in Action,” with Cameron Diaz when he was hospitalized. He initially underwent treatment in Georgia city after the April 12 scare, but reports said that he arrived in Chicago in late April. According to other reports, he’s “recovering well” so far.
5. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Mariah Riddlesprigger expecting baby number 3

NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo may not be in the playoffs this year, but he and his family still have a lot to celebrate. The 28-year-old ball player and his longtime girlfriend, Mariah Riddlesprigger have announced that they are expecting their third child together. In the joint social media post, the couple wrote, “Our dreams becoming reality.”
In the post, the couple stands with their sons Liam, 3, and Maverick, 21 months. They all seem to be looking at something in the distance while in front of numerous pink and blue balloons and a sign that says “BABY.” The family of four is dressed in matching white shirts and light-colored jeans. Neither Anteokounmpo nor Riddlesprigger has revealed the sex of the baby or the due date.
