He’s worth $1 billion right now. Tyler Perry’s billionaire wealth is being credited to the fact that he fully owns all of his creations on television, in theaters, and on the stage. A health worker checks the temperature of a traveler as part of the coronavirus screening procedure at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra.

The government and officials of the Noguchi Memorial Institute of Medical Research have clashed over the processes and charges for the testing of passengers who will be arriving at the Kotoka International Airport as it reopened yesterday. Antigen tests are immunoassays that detect the presence of a specific viral antigen, which implies current viral infection.

The government has indicated that each passenger will pay a $150 fee as the cost of the COVID-19 test. This move has also been challenged by the lead virologist at the institute. Dr. Kofi Bonney revealed to the media that about half of the antigen test to be conducted at the airport may be inaccurate.

On the $150 fee to be borne by passengers, Dr. Bonney said the prices should averagely cost “between $10 to about $20.”

Breonna Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, filed a lawsuit on Tuesday over his arrest the night Taylor was shot and killed by the police. He is asking the court to declare him “immune” from prosecution and citing the state’s “stand your ground” law. Walker fired at officers when they entered Taylor’s home on March 13, later claiming he believed that they were intruders and was acting in self-defense.

Walker was initially charged with the attempted murder of a police officer. The charges were later dropped, but Walker’s legal team is asking the court to ensure they won’t be filed again. The self-defense claim comes as part of a larger lawsuit Walker has filed against Attorney General Daniel Cameron, Louisville Metro government, Mayor Greg Fischer, 13 Louisville police officers, former Chief Steve Conrad, and interim Chief Rob Schroeder.
