In 1952, French fashion designer Count Hubert James Marcel Taffin de Givenchy founded the house of Givenchy which would grow to become an iconic fashion house, one of the most recognizable fashion brands in the world. He got to dress some of the world’s most beautiful women for decades and decades, including Beyoncé Knowles Carter who particularly favoured the brand.
Beyoncé loved the brand so much so that the brand was given a worthy mention in her Lemonade album. When Beyoncé said, “I’m so reckless when I rock my Givenchy dress,” she wasn’t joking! From epic Met Gala appearances to accepting her rightful place as a fashion icon at the 2016 CFDA Awards, Beyoncé has depended on the designer to help make unforgettable style statements throughout her career.
