1. Travis Scott wins Latin Grammy for ‘TKN’ with Rosalia
Travis Scott is a Latin Grammy winner! The 29-year-old rapper won Best Short Form Music Video for “TKN,” his collaboration with Rosalia, at the awards on Thursday night. This is Travis Scott’s first Latin Grammy nomination and win, while Rosalia has earned eight Latin Grammys over the course of her career, out of 15 nominations.
“TKN” was released on May 28, 2020, but the artists were friends long before the track dropped. This win makes Travis Scott one of the few African-American artists to win a Latin Grammy award.
2. Nigeria: Kiddwaya becomes the newest face of Ciroc Vodka
Ex-BBNaija reality star, Terseer Kiddwaya has joined the clear distilled alcoholic beverage brand, Ciroc Vodka in a new ambassadorial deal. The year has been fantastic for the billionaire son even though he did not finish among the finalist of the 2020 Big Brother Naija reality show.
Taking to Instagram to announce the big news, Kiddwaya wrote; “Kidd x Ciroc. Sounds good, doesn’t it? Well, it’s about to sound even better! Meet your new Ciroc Ambassador! 3. South Africa: Shekhinah delays ‘Trouble In Paradise’ album release
Platinum-selling artist, Shekhinah took to her social media where she announced that her fans will have to wait a little longer for the release of her much-awaited latest album, “Trouble In Paradise.” Together with a picture, the caption on Instagram read: “? changed my release date in true Shekhinah fashion ? new date coming soooooon stay tune.”
The “Suited” hitmaker’s fans were looking forward to her new album “Trouble In Paradise” which was set to be released on November 27. According to the comments on social media, some of her fans were upset with the date being pushed back, while others didn’t mind.
4. Ghana: Electoral Commission plans to declare presidential election results 24hrs after polls
The Electoral Commission (EC) says barring any impediment, it will declare the results of the 2020 Presidential Election 24 hours after polls. The Director of Electoral Services at the Commission, Dr. Serebour Quaicoe, said the Electoral Commission was determined to declare the results by the time Ghanaians go to sleep on December 8.
He told the media that the Commission had made all the necessary provisions to make sure the declaration of the results was not delayed. To this end, he said the Commission had tasked the district officers to put in place the logistical requirements for the movement of the results to the collation centers.
5. Ibrahimovic goes full Santa with PlayStation 5 gifts for AC Milan team-mates
AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic appears to command great respect in the dressing room, courtesy of his achievements in his professional football career. In an attempt to strengthen his ties further, Ibrahimovic has gifted the newly launched PlayStation 5 (PS5) to his AC Milan teammates.
Ibrahimovic gifted a PS5 to each of his club teammates on the day the console was launched in Europe. Sony launched the new edition of the console on November 19 and the response has been incredibly overwhelming. Many stores across Europe have reported having already sold out their stock of the PS5.
