Trai Byers and Grace Byers are expecting their first child together! The exciting baby news surfaced earlier this week after the married couple was spotted on the red carpet at the opening night of “The Piano Lesson.” “Happy Opening Night on your Broadway Debut, my beloved King!! Words absolutely fail when it comes to describing how deeply and overwhelmingly proud we are of you,” Grace captioned a carousel of Instagram photos from the big night.

In the photos, which were posted on October 14, the soon-to-be mother happily caressed her growing baby bump while posing alongside her husband. “What a night,” the pregnant actress happily added in the caption. Fans quickly began to flood the comment section of the Instagram post with congratulatory messages for the growing family.

Nigerian dancehall star Ruger previewed a new single via his Instagram on Wednesday, October 19. He previewed the single along with the music video, which is set to drop soon as he gears up for the release of his debut album. The single, likely titled “Red Flag,” sees Ruger telling his love interest that she saw the red flags yet chose to ignore them to be with him, so she can’t plead ignorance now that the relationship isn’t the fairytale she pictured.

The preview showcased Ruger’s catchy melody, which has endeared listeners to him. In 2022, Ruger released a deluxe version of his “Second Wave” EP, which has the hit single “Girlfriend.” As Ruger prepares for the release of his debut album, which is set to be released in 2023, he will be hoping to end 2022 on a high with his next release.

Congratulations are in order for Lerato Kgamanyane on her wedding. The lifestyle blogger and digital entrepreneur, who welcomed her first baby nearly two years ago, took to her social media timeline on Wednesday, sharing footage from her Umembeso ceremony (a Zulu traditional ceremony that forms part of the lobola negotiations where the groom gives gifts to the bride’s parents and family before the wedding).

The blushing bride, who looked breathtaking in traditional attire at the ceremony, said it was one of the best days of her life. There aren’t any details as to who her husband is, as the blogger has kept him away from the media.

Congratulations to the newlyweds.

4. Liz Truss resigns – becomes shortest-serving prime minister in British history

Liz Truss has resigned as the UK prime minister just 44 days after taking over from Boris Johnson. She is the shortest-serving PM in British history. A new Conservative leader is set to be elected next Friday. In a statement read outside Downing Street, Ms. Truss admitted she could not deliver on her mandate.

Truss will remain as prime minister until her successor has been chosen. Sir Graham said the committee expects to conclude a leadership election by Friday, October 28, with a new PM in place in time for the October 31 fiscal statement.

5. Arsenal charged by FA for failure to control players following controversial late decision against Leeds

Arsenal has been charged by the FA following Sunday’s 1-0 win away to Leeds United after their players reacted to referee Chris Kavanagh’s decision to give defender Gabriel a straight red card for a foul on Patrick Bamford in injury time. The decision was subsequently overturned following an on-field review.

An official statement from the FA Spokesperson reads: “Arsenal FC have been charged with a breach of FA rule E20.1 following their Premier League fixture against Leeds United FC on Sunday, October 16, 2022. It’s alleged the club failed to ensure that their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 92nd minute of the fixture. Arsenal FC has until Monday, October 24 to provide a response.”

Arsenal was minutes away from a 1-0 victory when the referee sent off the Brazilian for violent conduct against Bamford. VAR advised him to review the decision, though, which showed that the Leeds striker had actually fouled Gabriel, who was kicked out as a result. A free-kick was awarded to Arsenal and the red card was downgraded to a yellow. The Gunners hung onto a vital three points, but will more than likely contest a charge that came about from a decision that wrongly went against them.
