A fashion and culture enthusiast who's really a food loving…
As life gradually returns to a semi-normal state, celebrities and style stars across Africa – who happen to also be some of the best fashion influencers on Instagram – are finding more reasons to dress up, step out and make a fashion statement before the curfew kicks in wherever they are. Top Instagram fashion influencers
African celebrities and top fashion influencers are consistently using their style on Instagram to prove that a global pandemic doesn’t equal an end to doing the things we love––especially if it keeps us going.
Even as we continuously preach the gospel of safety and ask that you observe social distancing rules, we also want to re-emphasize the fact that a fashionable outfit should not only make you look good on the outside but also make you feel confident from the inside out. That confidence is exactly what we can feel from the women on this list.
Last week, some of the most stylish African celebrities, influencers, and style stars stepped out in a range of amplified looks which they, of course, shared on Instagram. Trust Nigerian celebrities and style stars to nail their looks.
In Nigeria, it was a leggy affair as the celebrities and fashion influencers showed off their legs in a variety of looks. Media girl Toke Makinwa led the pack in a red tube top featuring voluminous ruffles across the bust line. The statement-making top was paired with a pink side-pleated tulip skirt that left us glum about how much 2020 has deprived us of a Summer of endless haute hot slays! She finished off her look with fancy accessories matching the contemporary pink and red outfit matchup, with a pair of white sunglasses to seal the ‘boujee’ girl look!
Over in South Africa, leather accessories were the order of the week. Social media influencer Sarah Langa channeled her inner “clueless” character in a classic black and white ensemble. She wore a white plissé top with a pleated neckline that featured black embellishments matching the cuff of the flared sleeve. She paired her top with a box pleated skirt and finished off her look with a plaid jacket, a pair of black leather gloves, a pork pie hat, a pair of cat eye sunnies, and a slingback across her shoulder. Her 3/4 shot got us wondering what shoes she used to sky-rocket the look but with a look this sophisticated, there’s no doubting the shoes were just right!
The looks shared on Instagram last week by African celebrities and fashion influencers were nothing short of stylish, edgy, and glamorous and it’s safe to say that we’re, as usual, living vicariously through them.
