The Best Looks On African Celebs And Style Stars Last Week

As life gradually returns to a semi-normal state, celebrities and style stars across Africa – who happen to also be some of the best fashion influencers on Instagram – are finding more reasons to dress up, step out and make a fashion statement before the curfew kicks in wherever they are.

African celebrities and top fashion influencers are consistently using their style on Instagram to prove that a global pandemic doesn’t equal an end to doing the things we love––especially if it keeps us going.

Even as we continuously preach the gospel of safety and ask that you observe social distancing rules, we also want to re-emphasize the fact that a fashionable outfit should not only make you look good on the outside but also make you feel confident from the inside out. That confidence is exactly what we can feel from the women on this list.

Last week, some of the most stylish celebrities and style stars in Africa stepped out in a range of amplified looks which they, of course, shared on Instagram. Ghanaian celebrities showed off their avant-garde sides with extravagant sleeve detailing and red-carpet-worthy looks.

Nigerian celebrities and style stars did not sleep on their looks either. Fashion designer, Og Okonkwo, took shirt dresses to a whole new level as she showed off some legs and avant-garde details on her super creative design. OAP and the no. 1 baby girl for life, Toke Makinwa, gave us that timeless burnt orange vibes as she styled up vintage-inspired attire with her mini bag and a pair of Paula Cademartori blossom sandals.

In South Africa, Hijabi model, stylist, and designer, Thameenah Saint, took lockdown leisurewear to a whole new level. Her refreshing grey and brown leisurewear was styled with a complementing brown headwrap, brown purse, and a pair of silver pumps.

The looks shared last week by African celebrities and fashion influencers were nothing short of edgy, glamorous and it’s safe to say that we’re as usual, living vicariously through them.
