reathe baby, breathe. That’s the heads-up we’re giving before you dive into the top celeb beauty looks that graced last week. Why? Because the stars put a chokehold on the beauty scene, parading in chic hairstyles and makeup looks that pressed necks all the way. Whether they played the understated card or opted for full glam, each offering proved to be a testament to Black girls’ ability to effortlessly own their beauty and leave us gasping for air. So breathe.

Long after Barbie the Movie hit theaters, pink fever is still mainstream, and last week, Marsai Martin caught the bug. The actress brought the Barbiecore vibe flaunting pink eyeshadow and pink blush. She added softness to the look with brown eyeshadow across her lids and brown lippie. In all, the sweet marriage of pink and neutral tones was all that was needed to make the face beat hit hard. 

Elsewhere, Alicia Keys opted for an understated slay to round off her Keys to the Summer tour in Los Angeles. For the night, the vocal powerhouse favored lightly-filled brows, blush lips, and barely-there eyeshadow that blended well with her skin tone. To weave an element of character into the look, blue eyeliner was used to enliven her eyes. Now, that’s how to conclude a music tour.

Hair

Adding to the list of top celeb beauty looks spotted last week is the mane rocked by Halle Bailey following the drop of her debut solo, Angel. The singer, who’s famous for her locs, stole hearts in a braided-non-braided up-do that evoked an air of regality.
