At the moment it seems some of our favourite stars – Zynnell Lydia Zuh, Bonang Matheba, Toke Makinwa, Nomzamo Mbatha, Vimbai Mutinhiri and Catherine Njeri Kariuki – are really into painting social media’s canvas with exquisite styling. Wild combinations, barely-there dresses, almost overriding silhouettes and more are some of what these top Style Ravens have been serving on a regular hence making it to our most rave-worthy looks.
Thanks to the changing global culture, women have now seized the narrative and are changing what it means to be feminine, subverting stereotypes and leading how they know best. The above-mentioned celebrities are some of such women and they take this freedom of being and express it through what they wear.
Here’s a look at how these influential women have weaponized fashion and turned it into a branding and inspirational tool…
Zynnell Lydia Zuh – Ghana

If there’s one person that knows her way around fashion then it’s Ghanaian starlet Zynnell Lydia Zuh. For the week ending November 10th, she dazzled in a sheer black dress with print embellishments, keeping her palette edgy by rocking a cowboy heart and leather biker jacket.
Nomzamo Mbatha – South Africa

The South African actress is on top when it comes to empowering with her style, she has been known to rock outfits dedicated to her loved ones who have passed and also to those who are present. She’s never afraid to express her uniqueness and we aren’t surprised by her style pick this week. It’s typical Nomzamo Mbatha and it is absolutely gorgeous.
Bonang Matheba – South Africa

The queen of slay never fails to deliver. With her bubbly and fun personality, SA’s Bonang Matheba went for sheer glamour as she attended a dinner celebration. Her look is confident and exciting and that’s what she lives for.
Toke Makinwa – Nigeria

Chapter 34 is starting off great for the super stylish Nigerian entrepreneur. Out to support SA designer Gert Johan Coetzee at the GTB fashion weekend, Toke Makinwa ups the playing field as she continues to live her best life – #babygirlforlife indeed!
Vimbai Mutinhiri – Zimbabwe

This is how you pose when you are a confident Zimbabwean and adopted Nigerian woman. TV girl Vimbai Mutinhiri has always felt perfect in her skin and we can sense that feeling as she poses in her Moofa designed outfit which she wore last week to the Nuciano bag launch in Lagos.
Catherine Njeri Kariuki – Kenya

There’s something about being simple; it’s obviously less complicated and conflicted. It’s more comfortable and confident and if you don’t believe that less is more let Kenyan socialite/blogger mum Catherine Njeri Kariuki school you.
