On Sunday night, August 25th, some of Hollywood’s biggest stars came out looking fly for the 2019 BET Black Girls Rock Award show in Newark, New Jersey. The annual event is aimed at celebrating black-American women who are making a difference in the world in their various industries.
The 2019 Black Girls Rock Award show was hosted by Emmy-nominated Niecy Nash. The event honoured phenomenal black women like Angela Bassett, Regina King, Ciara, H.E.R. and Debra Martin Chase.
As with the ladies of Hollywood, many came out in stunning style and of course, we were on the lookout for the most Rave-worthy looks. From Ciara in a captivating Zuhair Murad sparkling silver beaded gown with a draped fringe bodice from the brand’s Spring 2019 Couture collection to Monica Brown who was styled by uber-talented celebrity stylists, Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald in a black velvety jumpsuit with extravagant sleeves, we were quite satisfied and we’ve got our top 10 of the best-dressed ladies.
