This year’s MTV Video Music Awards took it back to New York sans a host, an occurrence that happens every few years. The event which took place at Radio City Music Hall included performances from the likes of Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez (her first VMA performance since 2001) and Shawn Mendes, with an opening from Cardi B.
Each year, the MTV VMAs honour the brightest stars in the music industry. Although we were itching to know who takes home what award, the red carpet remains our favourite. As always, celebrities came through with their slays; Cardi B for one didn’t let her newly acquired motherhood status stop her from drippin’ swag on the red carpet.
We spotted lots of whites and metallics on the red carpet with the likes of Blake Lively and Kylie Jenner serving all-white elegance while stars like Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez and Bebe Rexha came slaying in metallics. The stars proved once again that with the red carpet, there will never be a shortage of fierce fashion and we were and will always be totally here for it!
