The 2019 Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards took place on Friday, December 13 at the Kampala Serena Hotel in Kampala, Uganda. With the theme ‘The STARZ,’ in mind, Ugandan and other African celebrities turned up superbly dressed for the red carpet.
Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards is a fashion award ceremony that celebrates and acknowledges fashion industry stakeholders including designers, stylists, hair and makeup artists, media personalities and brands, as well as influencers in Uganda and across the African continent.

The 2019 Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards was hosted by events emcee Deedan and Zimbabwean media personality Vimbai Mutinhiri. Wisconsin-born Nigerian-American singer Jidenna, who won this year’s Icon Award, wowed the crowd as the main performer for the night.
There were winners from all over Africa with Nigeria’s Burna Boy bagging the award for the most fashionable African artiste of the year. His music video Pull Up won the most fashionable African video of the year.

Ghanaian designer Ozwald Boateng was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for paving the way for black designers such as Olivier Rousteing and Virgil Abloh.
As usual, we were on the lookout for the most rave-worthy looks on the red carpet and we’ve got our picks.
