Budweiser, a.k.a. King of Beers kicked off its “King Stitch” campaign a few weeks back with a video which featured Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Teni Apata (The Entertainer), LadiPoe and many others. The campaign is said to be targeted at the Gen Zs of Nigeria to inspire and celebrate their youthfulness. The campaign got a lot of positive reviews on the internet because of its positive message and it was obvious everyone wanted more.
Through the King Stitch campaign, Budweiser has created a platform where youths can engage and be engaged to celebrate their individuality. Budweiser targets youths who are bold enough to break out of the box the society tries to put everyone in. This is why they started the King Stitch program – to give selected young Nigerians the opportunity to learn and create collections under internationally acclaimed designers; Adebayo Oke-Lawal of Orange Culture and Tokyo James of Tokyo James.
Budweiser held a fashion show in Lagos on Wednesday, May 1st as part of the program and in attendance were celebrities like Toke Makinwa and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu as well as many influencers who all showed up in a variety of really chic looks.
