Temi Otedola popularly known as JTO Fashion on her social media pages is the daughter of billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, and is among a select group of African fashion bloggers who redefining the global fashion industry with the help of digital and social media.
The 19-year-old CEO was recently featured on the CNN Style website and CNN African Voices where she got a chance to delve into the rapid growth of her fashion blogging business and how she hopes to contribute to the rise of the Nigerian/African fashion industry.
Fashion blogging has become a major influence factor on the global fashion industry and designers and advertisers are coming to terms with the new powerhouse. While speaking with CNN’s Stephanie Busari, JTO Fashion talked about bringing African fashion to a global audience.
According to CNN,
“The industry (fashion blogging) is growing fast and although it still faces some very real challenges in terms of infrastructure and funding, it’s beginning to reach a wide audience of fashion conscious consumers thanks to e-commerce, social media and the fact that the international fashion industry is always on the hunt for something new.”
