Designer Ifi Alexander has released his Pre-Fall 2017 collection titled Tears. The collection consists of 10 modern pieces that showcases the designs love for experimenting with bold colours and embroidery.
On the logic behind the collection title, according to Alexander, growing up we were told as little boys that “Real men don’t cry! But over years gone by, I’ve cried over painful goodbyes; I’ve laughed so hard that my sides hurt and tears ran down my cheeks unabashedly. I have learned that tears do not reflect weakness but on the contrary strength, and most importantly that we are still flesh and bones after all. And it is okay to cry sometimes.
Inspired by British embroider “Broiderybitch”, this collection depicts the delicate balance between vulnerability, expression and strength.” The designer added.
