Vogue Spain June issue sees Supermodel Karlie Kloss teaming up with photographer Emma Summerton for a floral-inspired masterpiece. At first glance, the Vogue edit which is titled “Las Flores Del Cambio” [Flowers Of Change], gave me a back to Spring vibe! The entire concept focuses on a variety of floral patterns that feature different floral prints and inventions, however upon a further glance, something else comes to mind: there is a deeper development with the way the edit is carried out.
On the cover page, Karlie Kloss is styled in a sheer cat-suit, shrouded in a variety of flowers. However, further, down the edit, the flowers on Karlie turn into floral prints and this takes a different tone as it reminds you a little bit of light and darkness and takes you back to the ‘Mad Hatter’ character in the children’s book – Alice in Wonderland.
The edit uses flowers in all forms to express “Change.” Depicting the title, the stylist, Patti Wilson shows different angles and shades of flowers as opposed to using a single palette thereby leaving the interpretation of the whole concept up to anyone’s imagination. A genius idea if I’m to say so myself.
Find out if the edit lives up to its title | Las Flores Del Cambio…
