The Sun Met is rightly called Africa’s Richest Race Day. For 2019, the event which is celebrated in partnership with G.H. Mumm returned to Cape Town at the Kenilworth Racecourse on the 26th of January with the theme – African Luxury: Precious Metals.
Inspired by the riches of the earth, the theme is a celebration of Africa’s most luxurious gems. The Sun Met 2019 which was hosted by Usain Bolt, had racing enthusiasts, celebrities and fashionistas come out looking impressively opulent in their outfits.
