Summer Walker will release her new “CLEAR 2: SOFT LIFE” EP next month. Taking to the stage at Dreamville Festival in North Carolina over the weekend, Walker used her powerhouse set as the launching pad for her next project. “I just wanted to let you guys know that I have an EP dropping. May 19. Go to my website if you wanna pre-order it. It’s a little somethin’, somethin.’ Y’all ready for some new music?” she teased before being met with roaring applause.

On April 1 and 2, J Cole hosted the Dreamville Festival in Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park, North Carolina. Nigeran sensations Burna Boy, Victony, and Ayra Starr were also part of the lineup that entertained the crowd. Burna Boy, who was a co-headliner with J Cole and Drake, dazzled fans with his breathtaking live performance. He delivered songs from his last album “Love, Damini” and a choice selection of hit singles from his discography while being assisted by his sensational The Outsiders Band.

Ayra Starr performed her hit single “Rush” and her latest song “Sability.” Her performance was impressive as she displayed her incredible stage presence.

Congratulations are in order for the winner of the first edition of the BBTitans show. After some interesting three months, Khosi has emerged as the winner of the Big Brother Titans. She was crowned the winner during the finale on Saturday night. Khosi goes home with the grand prize of $100,000 cash prize, including endorsement deals. She beat 23 housemates during the show that lasted for 72 days, hosted by Lawrence Maleka and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

The 25-year-old is a journalist, Instagram model, fitness guru, and content creator who kept viewers entertained with her personality and love interests. With Khosi as the winner, we have Kanaga JNR as first-runner up and Tsatsii as 2nd runner-up. A first of its kind, BBTitans premiered on January 15, 2023, with contestants from both Nigeria and South Africa.

4. Davido’s ‘Timeless’ sets new first-day streaming record for African albums on Apple Music

Davido has set a new record on Apple Music with his latest album “Timeless.” On March 31, the Nigerian singer released his fourth album. The highly anticipated 17-track album came off the back of a rare quiet moment from the award-winning artiste who has made a name for himself as Africa’s most formidable hitmaker. Davido’s “Timeless” has set a new record for the first-day streams of African albums on Apple Music. This was revealed on April 3, in a tweet by the official handle of Apple Music.

Davido has already broken several first-day records across Boomplay, Spotify, and Apple music charts across the world with the album charting in 102 countries, reaching number 26, and reaching a new African peak of number 2 in the United States. With “Timeless,” Davido shatters the record set by sensational Nigerian hitmaker Asake with his debut album “Mr. Money With the Vibes.”

5. Graham Potter fired by Chelsea after Aston Villa defeat

Chelsea have confirmed the sacking of manager Graham Potter after his side’s loss to Aston Villa on Saturday. The Blues were beaten 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, leaving them 11th in the Premier League table. Chelsea confirmed on Sunday that the manager has been relieved of his duties. Potter took charge of the London club in September when he replaced Thomas Tuchel as head coach. However, Chelsea have won just 12 of the matches they have played under the ex-Brighton boss, losing 11.

“Chelsea FC has announced that Graham Potter has departed the club,” a statement read. “Graham has agreed to collaborate with the Club to facilitate a smooth transition. In his time with the club, Graham has taken us to the quarter-final of the Champions League, where we will face Real Madrid. Chelsea would like to thank Graham for all his efforts and contribution and wish him well for the future.” Bruno Saltor has been appointed interim manager for the time being and will be in charge for the Blues’ clash against Liverpool Today.
