second-wedding-dress-ideas-for-the-modern-bride

There are two types of modern-day brides. Okay, maybe there are more than two but for the purpose of this article, we are narrowing it down to two: the conventional and unconventional bride. Generally, most brides fit into one of the two categories with respect to her personality, and consequently, the wedding dress she opts for. This is also true of her second wedding dress, aka, the reception dress.

Having a second dress is a fabulous idea. In one instance, it is usually lighter and freer than the main wedding dress, allowing the freedom to dance and move about with ease. On some other occasions, brides seize the opportunity to reiterate their loud style statement and the result is double the slay. Regardless of the route you choose, you must choose a wedding and reception dress that feels uniquely you and doesn’t get in the way of all the fun you’re bent on having on your big day. Yup, functionality is still a thing in the wedding-style streets.

For the conventional bride

Once a bride makes a personal choice of having another dress, she needs to make sure that while the second outfit doesn’t totally usurp the first, it must also stand its own ground. Therefore, going with something elegant is a sure way to slay. The conventional bride looks to classic numbers, traditional silhouettes, and tried and trusted hues. For the unconventional bride

Non-conforming brides do things differently so for the bride who loves to be a little extra, nothing predictable will work. You’d think that the second dress should simply be less formal than the first but for this bride, a second dress is a way to remind her spouse, in-laws, and guests that she’s unconventional in more ways than one. From a downright sexy number to a sophisticated jumpsuit, and even extra-detailed embellishments, this bride has drama for a middle name.
