Head pieces were the stars at the Met Gala 2018 and who do we thank for that? Perharps a fashion god – maybe. With the theme Heavenly Bodies and Catholic Imagination, the idea was to dress in an artsy and attention grabbing ensemble and the sky-scrapping head pieces were the perfect addition for those who gave it a chance.
Thankfully the 2018 Met Gala showed a large percentage of the guest adhering to the theme with the likes of Rihanna (who happens to be among the chairs of the event) Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, SZA, Lana Del Ray, Cara Delevingne, Winnie Harlow, Rita Ora, Blake Lively, Janelle Monea and others stunning in couture fashion decadence which goes from the lowest of keys straight up to avant-garde.
What really kept our eyes on the carpet were the headpieces: ranging from chain-link hoods to queen crowns and even the pope’s Mitre (hat) as worn by Rihanna; artsy or blasphemous? You decide or better yet, let the “heavens” do that.
