The Okunoren Twins are known for their bespoke western outfits with very distinct African details, having revolutionized bespoke tailoring in Nigeria. The pieces in the collection showcased by the Okunoren Twins at the April 2019 Arise Fashion Week came as an even more fascinating merging of western and African elements.
It’s safe to say that the menswear and womenswear brand delivered the best of both worlds. The shirts, jackets and pants were intricately designed with vibrant artwork that could compete with some of the best works of art out there.
A strong effort to represent the luxuries and culture of Africa was apparent in the collection with every detail from the cowry buttons to the aso oke textiles. The Okunoren twins definitely made a memorable statement at Arise Fashion Week 2019 and every art lover would want a piece from this collection.
