A fashion and culture enthusiast who's really a food loving…
Odion Oseni, Creative Director of Odio Mimonet proved design mastery yet again with her latest showing. Having been in the industry for almost 20 years, the brand has consistently shown that it understands what its customers want.
Odio Mimonet is all about creating exclusive yet wearable pieces of art using high-quality materials and their AW19 collection showcased at the April 2019 Arise Fashion Week attested to this. The collection featured some pieces from the brand’s Mimi diffusion line which is focused on creating outfits for the relaxed yet stylish “Gidi” girl who wants to stay in touch with her roots.

The show opened up with the first and only Miss World from Nigeria, Agbani Darego, who was clad in an oversized belted Adire kimono with a matching heard wrap. The rest of the collection showed more Adire designs, colourful, easy to wear outfits and bold slogans like “Living my best life” and “Live Life, Love Lagos” as seen on supermodel Liya Kebede.

The designer’s signature mixed prints and other interesting mixes of fabrics all had their moments on the runway. Fringes, drapings, ruffles and matted details also came to play in the collection made for the modestly sophisticated woman.
