SZA emerged as the standout at the 2023 Soul Train Awards on Sunday, clinching four awards, including two of the evening’s major honors. The singer won Album of the Year for “SOS” and Song of the Year for “Snooze.” Additionally, leading the nominations with nine nods, she claimed victories in Best R&B/Soul Female Artist and the Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s Award for “Snooze.”
Usher secured three awards, including Best R&B/Soul Male Artist, Best Collaboration, and the Certified Soul Award. Burna Boy has extended his record as a Nigerian artist on the UK album chart with his 2023 project, “I Told Them,” after it spent its 13th week on the chart. His highly acclaimed album, “Love Damini,” holds the record for the longest number of weeks on the UK albums chart, and “I Told Them” holds the second spot on the list as well. The Nigerian artist still remains the first and only Nigerian talent to never hit number one on the UK album chart.

4. Jennifer Lopez announces ‘This Is Me… Now’ album
Jennifer Lopez is ready to return to music. On Monday, November 27, the Bronx star announced her ninth studio LP, “This Is Me… Now,” which will serve as the sequel to 2002’s “This Is Me… Then.” As explained in a press release, the upcoming album “effortlessly blends R&B, contemporary pop sounds, and hip hop beats combined with her emotional signature vocals” and “is Lopez’s most honest and personal yet.”
“This Is Me… Now” will come with a film of the same name, which is described as “a narrative-driven, intimate, reflective, sexy, funny, fantastical, and highly entertaining musical and visual reimagining” of Lopez’s personal life. You can check out a short trailer for the Dave Meyers-directed movie, which Lopez co-wrote alongside Matt Walton and her husband, actor Ben Affleck.
5. Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott and girlfriend expecting their first baby together
Dak Prescott is getting ready to become a dad. Over the weekend, Sarah Jane Ramos, girlfriend of the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, shared the exciting news of her pregnancy with her Instagram family. “A little bit of Heaven sent down to Earth,” she wrote, followed by a white heart emoji. “Our immeasurable blessing. I cannot wait to raise a strong, confident, beautiful baby girl with you @_4dak.” The post was accompanied by a black-and-white maternity photo shoot in which she holds her belly bump.
The NFL star wrote that he’s looking forward to parenthood. “How thankful I am to do this with you can’t be explained! God makes no mistakes and nothing is coincidental and for that, I thank Him Daily! I love you, and y’all can always count on me…Let’s do this Mama,” Prescott wrote in the comment section of Ramos’ post. In September, the soon-to-be parents sparked dating rumors when Ramos shared snaps of herself and Dak’s sister-in-law, Holly Prescott, watching a Cowboys game together in a private stadium suite. In October, Ramos posted photos of herself and the athlete together.
