Everyone who’s Nigerian or African knows Spice TV. They are the number one lifestyle and fashion channel in Africa and we know that holding the Spice Lifestyle Honors event has been a long time coming. The ceremony which held last night, November 5, at the Eko Hotel & Suites Convention Centre was every bit as lit! as we anticipated.
Headlined by singer Asa, the event was set out to capture the culture and soul of African fashion and entertainment. Asa thrilled fans with her hit songs, mesmerizing performance and soulful voice. Other stars that performed at the event include Adekunle Gold, Bez and Falana.
Aside from music, there was also a fashion show that displayed talents from across Africa including Kenneth Ize (Nigeria), Torlowei (Nigeria) – who is the creator of the first piece of couture to be accepted into the permanent collection of The Smithsonian Institute’s National Museum of African Art, Chulaap (South Africa), Orapeleng (South Africa), Osei Duro (Ghana) and David Tlale (South Africa).
Music, fashion and all-around entertainment are the exact keywords that describe the Spice Lifestyle Honors but let’s not leave out the Awards. Spice recognised the achievement of individuals in several entertainment-related categories.
The likes of Joselyn Dumas who was the host of the show, Dakore Egbuson Akande, Vimbai Mutinhiri, Toke Makinwa, Fade Ogunro, Bolanle Olukanni, Ozinna Anumudu, Eku Edewor and Kessiana Thorley, BBNaija’s Anto Lecky and Cynthia “Cee-C” Nwadiora, Eki Ogunbor, Bellanaija’s Uche and Bode Pedro, Noble Igwe, Uti Nwachukwu, Tobi Bakre, Ini Dima-Okojie and a host of others were in attendance.
