“Essence” by Wizkid and Tems is still receiving accolades long after its 2020 release. RollingStone listed the song among their 500 greatest songs of all time. The American magazine started its list of 500 Greatest Songs of All Time in 2004. Due to time and music changes and the birth of newer artists, the publication revamped its list and received nearly 4000 songs for entries. The result is a more expansive, inclusive vision of pop music that keeps rewriting its history with every beat.
“Essence” was ranked in the 414th position on the list. The song is off Wizkid’s “Made in Lagos” album, released in 2020. The afro-pop tune is a soothing mid-tempo song that has taken over the music scene on a global scale. In 2021, “Essence” was declared the best song of 2021 by RollingStone.

Kylian Mbappe is set to be handed the iconic number 10 shirt at Real Madrid should he join the Spanish giants in the summer. Mbappe will not take his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous No. 7 shirt unless Vinicius Junior leaves or decides he wants to change squad numbers, according to reports. The Brazilian, Junior, has the shirt number currently and may be unwilling to give it up. However, given that Luka Modric is set to leave at the end of the season, the number 10 will be free for Mbappe.
