American clothing and accessories brand, Rodarte reinvented the high fashion flower crown at the Spring/Summer 2019 New York Fashion Week. As models strut the runway with fresh florals arranged into their hair in vibrant colours which complemented dreamy makeup looks, it became clear that the luxury fashion brand was putting its stamp on one of 2018’s most popular hair trends.
According to Odile Gilbert, who styled the floral arrangements, she drew inspiration from a rose garden. Working with TRESemmé haircare and Sultra Tools, Odile and her team styled each model’s hair keeping their individual differences in mind. The overall idea was for the models to look unique and romantic because according to her, “in a rose garden, every rose is unique and different.”
The team got creative with the models’ hair using roses of various sizes and colours. Each model’s makeup was coordinated to match their roses and the overall result was a line of the most stunning floral crowns to ever hit the NYFW runways.
