Lanre Dasilva Ajayi is a designer of choice. When in 2005 she first arrived on the fashion scene, she made an immediate impact with her debut collection; it was heavily inspired by the Victorian era: think mid-20th-century couture with a modern twist and cutting-edge detailing. Amidst other renowned designers like Tiffany Amber, Deola Sagoe and the likes, LDA was able to carve out her own niche and since then has become one of the most sought-after high-end fashion brands in Nigeria.
Offering refreshing combinations with the use of rich traditional and contemporary luxurious fabrics like metallic fibres, and utilizing a mix of prints and subtly artistic patterns with the right dose of shimmer and shine, the fashion house quickly became a darling among celebrities, socialites and fashion lovers in general. One famous person who has always fronted the Lanre DaSilva Ajayi brand and can’t seem to get enough of it is ace actress Rita Dominic.
Rita, who’s close friends with the designer is also her go-to muse, and we couldn’t think of a better one for the brand seeing that Rita is a certified lover of fashion and luxury. The actress has been able to further translate the designer’s vision into reality just by the way she styles the designs. This, in turn, has made such a huge impact on how people perceive the brand.
LDA is much about wearable art and satisfying the needs of the elegant woman, and according to the design house:

Lately, however, the actress/filmmaker isn’t the only one fronting the LDA brand. The likes of Adesua Etomi, Idia Aisien, Osas Ighodaro Ajibade, Olajumoke Adenowo, Ono Bello, Ini Dima-Okojie and many others have all been spotted wearing pieces from past and latest collections.
