Kourtney Kardashian has quit long-running reality series ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ following a row with her sister Kim. Kourtney Kardashian officially revealed the news in a reply to an Instagram follower who questioned why she wouldn’t just quit the series despite complaining about the cameras capturing her every move.

Kourtney just needs to quit the damn show!” the viewer wrote, adding: “I’m over her not wanting to film.” Kardashian swiftly responded: “I did. Bye.

She later elaborated, writing: “Took a lot to get there but choose happiness always. It’s easy to forget what really matters. It’s been years of build-up.” Kourtney’s row with Kim occurred when her work ethic was called into question.

I don’t like being a celebrity,” she says, later announcing: “I’m taking a break from the show. Now I can focus on me and plan my time of being a mum.”

2. COVID-19: FG to evacuate Nigerians abroad

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed all its missions abroad to compile a list of willing Nigerian nationals who wished to come back home. Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, disclosed that this was a sequel to requests received from Nigerians stranded abroad amid the coronavirus pandemic.

She, however, said that the MFA had instructed that “the financial implications will be borne by the prospective evacuees, who will be compulsorily quarantined when they returned.”


3. Thousands arrested for defying SA lockdown

More than 17,000 people have been arrested during the first week of the coronavirus lockdown in South Africa for defying the restrictions imposed. South African officials have warned that unless people stay at home infections could soar over the next few weeks.

There are currently nearly 1,500 confirmed cases in South Africa. There has been resistance to some of the strict regulations which include a ban on the sale of alcohol and jogging outside.

4. Sri Lanka forces Muslims to cremate COVID-19 victims

The forced cremation of two COVID-19 infected Muslims in Sri Lanka has sent shock waves among the minority community, which accused the authorities of violating Islamic burial rites.

Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Health on Tuesday issued COVID-19 guidelines saying the standard procedure of disposing bodies should be cremation. It reversed an earlier guideline that allowed traditional Muslim burial.

It also said the body should not be washed and placed in a sealed bag and a coffin, as against the Islamic practice of washing the body.


5. Premier League clubs to consult players on 30% wage cut as resumption delayed

Premier League clubs will ask players to take a 30% pay cut in order to protect jobs as it was announced the season will not resume until it is safe and appropriate to do so.

All clubs have agreed to put the proposed combination of conditional reductions and deferrals to players.

The Premier League will advance £125m to the EFL and National League and give £20m towards the NHS. Clubs still intend on completing all league and cup fixtures.
