2. Immigration officers punished for participating in the #BopDaddy challenge

The Nigerian Immigration Service has disciplined five of its female officers by transferring them to Borno, Yobe, Kano and other States far away from their current duty posts for participating in a social media competition known as #BopDaddy challenge. Nigerian male celebrities

The immigration authorities stated that the five women would not be given any relocation allowance and must resume at their new duty posts within seven days despite a ban on interstate travel currently in place. Nigerian celebrity news

According to a document posted on social media, the five officers are – Priscilla Irabor, Catherine Bakura, Blessing Udida, Binti Attabor, and Ockiya Eneni. Early in April, the NIS in a disciplinary memo asked the women to explain why they should not be disciplined for allegedly violating the agency’s internal code.


3. Lesotho is the last African nation to record a COVID-19 case

The southern African country of Lesotho has recorded its first coronavirus case, its health ministry has said, becoming the last nation on the continent to confirm an infection. Nigerian celebrity news

The ministry on Wednesday said it conducted 81 coronavirus tests on travelers from neighboring South Africa and Saudi Arabia, of which one was positive, while the results of 301 other tests are awaited.

The Ministry of Health informs the Basotho nation and the entire community living in Lesotho, that the country now has the first confirmed case of COVID-19,” Director-General Dr Nyane Letsie said. The patient is a Lesotho national studying in Saudi Arabia.

4. UN chief warns that the psychological suffering will outlast the pandemic

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has warned that psychological suffering will outlast the coronavirus crisis.

Even when the pandemic is brought under control, grief, anxiety, and depression will continue to affect people and communities,” he said in a message.

The UN chief launched a policy brief urging governments, civil society and health authorities to address the mental health dimension of the crisis.


5. Serie A aims for 13 June restart subject to government approval

Serie A plans to resume its season on 13 June if Italy’s government approves. The league’s general assembly met on Wednesday via video conference and approved the date for resumption “in accordance with government decisions and medical protocols.”
