Teddy A announced the arrival of him and Bambam’s baby via his Twitter page on Thursday, March 5, 2020. The couple welcomed a baby girl and named her Zendaya Folakemi Adenibuyan.
2. NURTW is providing sanitisers at parks to prevent Coronavirus – MC Oluomo
Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo, has said that the union is providing sanitizers at motor parks across the state to prevent any probable spread of the novel Coronavirus disease in the state.
MC Oluomo made this known on Thursday during a visit by the state ministry of health and strategy team to his office in Oko Oba area of the state. The NURTW boss urged commercial drivers to maintain personal hygiene and cultivate the habit of regular washing their hands.
3. Suicide attackers hit outside the US embassy in Tunis
Suicide attackers struck outside the US embassy in the Tunisian capital on Friday, killing a police officer, wounding six other people and once again shaking a city repeatedly hit by jihadist violence.
The latest attack comes despite a state of emergency imposed in the North African nation in 2015 following a string of bloody assaults claimed by the Islamic State group. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
The two attackers died and one officer, identified as a 52-year-old father of three Lieutenant Taoufik Mohammed El Nissaoui, died of his wounds. Five more injured officers and a lightly wounded female civilian were in a stable state, Interior Minister Hichem Mechichi told journalists.
4. Coronavirus cases surpass 100,000 globally
More than 100,000 people have been diagnosed with the Coronavirus disease globally, according to Johns Hopkins University – with at least 3,015 deaths in China and 267 fatalities in other parts of the globe, most of them in Italy and Iran.
At least 1,200 of the new infections are in Iran in just the past 24 hours, the country’s biggest jump since the outbreak began. Iran’s health ministry on Friday added that 124 people have died. In France, 200 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed overnight, while India and South Korea also reported an increase in the number of infections.
Additionally, the death toll in the United States from the Coronavirus rose to 12 when King County in the state of Washington reported the latest death on Thursday.
5. Liverpool keeper Allison to miss Atletico Madrid Champions League game
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has been ruled out of their Champions League last-16 second leg against Atletico Madrid with a hip injury. Alisson will also miss Saturday’s home Premier League game against Bournemouth and is a doubt for the Merseyside derby at Everton on 16 March.
“He is not available for tomorrow and then the next week,” manager Jurgen Klopp said of the 27-year-old. “We have to judge the situation. I would say after the international break, 100%. Whatever we can get before that we will see.”
