On Tuesday, it was revealed that Quavo’s new Thanksgiving cookbook, “Huncho Farms Cookbook,” will be online available for free. Released in conjunction with Urban Recipe and his Quavo Cares Foundation, the literary piece contains unique ways to prepare classic meals. “What I care most about is bringing the community together to provide joy and peace. There is no better way to do it than to connect with loved ones over a home-cooked meal,” the Migos alum stated about the cookbook, which saw contributions from culinary star, Virginia Willis and the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

“This season, as my gift to you, I am sharing my family recipes to inspire you to make nutritious meals together to enjoy with laughter and love.” The “Huncho Farms Cookbook” first debuted at Quavo’s farmers market event on Monday, November 20. As explained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the occasion—which provided attendees with produce goods, hygiene products, and much more—served as an expansion of the “Turn Yo Clic Up” star’s annual turkey giveaway.

2. Davido performs on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon

On November 21, Davido performed on the “Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.” The Afrobeats powerhouse performed his hit singles “Unavailable,” featuring Musa Keys, and “Feel” off his record-breaking fourth album, “Timeless.” Supported by the sensational Kingsmen Band, Davido gave a remarkable rendition of the hit singles, both of which recently earned 2024 Grammy nominations. “We made them Feel it,” Davido posted on his X (formally Twitter) account alongside a clip of his performance at the Tonight Show.

3. South Africa: US actor, Forest Whitaker unveils ‘safe space’ for youth to play basketball in Cape Town

Award-winning US actor, Forest Whitaker unveiled a refurbished basketball court in Cape Town where girls and boys can strengthen their stamina and characters by playing the sport in a “safe space.” The star’s nonprofit organization, Whitaker Peace & Development Initiative (WPDI), partnered with the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the project after launching the foundation in the Cape Flats in 2019 to develop programs aimed at training and supporting underprivileged groups.

The court will host year-round junior NBA programming and activities as part of WPDI’s Peace Through Sports program, an initiative designed to foster peace and harmony in marginalized communities through sports and peacebuilding training courses. The court was unveiled by Whitaker, deputy Cape Town mayor, Eddie Andrews, and NBA Africa CEO, Victor Williams.

4. Rema sets a new record for Nigerian music on the Billboard end-of-the-year charts

Rema has once again set a new record for Nigerian music with his latest achievements on the Billboard end-of-the-year charts for 2023. The singer, who made numerous appearances on the end-of-year charts for 2023 released by the media outlet, set a new record as he became the first Nigerian artiste to have an album chart on the Billboard 200 year-end chart with his debut album, “Rave & Roses” at number 157.

This was, however, not Rema’s only appearance on the year-end charts for 2023; the singer was also ranked on the following charts: Billboard Top Artistes Year-End Chart (41), Billboard World Albums Chart Year-End: “Rave & Roses” (3), Billboard Hot 100 Year-End: Calm Down (remix) (6).

5. LeBron James becomes the first player in NBA history to surpass 39,000 career points

On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Lakers routed the Utah Jazz, securing a 131-99 victory in the NBA In-Season Tournament matchup. During the game, LeBron James officially became the all-time leading scorer when he surpassed the 39,000-point mark. He is the first player to do so in the league’s history. The supersportsman now has 39,012 career points, ahead of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar‘s 38,387.

Behind them, Hall of Famers Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Dirk Nowitzki, and Wilt Chamberlain are the only other players to have crossed 30,000 career points. “I got congratulated by my teammates and coaches [and] things of that nature, [but] I haven’t had an opportunity to really wrap my head around what that means,” James stated when asked about the achievement in a post-game interview.
