Birthday girl Teyana Taylor is making serious business moves as the singer, actress, director, and model just got announced as clothing brand, Pretty Little Thing’s new creative director. A few days after announcing her retirement from the music business, Teyana Taylor has announced her latest career move.
Last Friday, December 4, Teyana Taylor made a surprise announcement stating that she would be retiring from music. Despite being a very talented artist and performer, the mother of two took to Instagram to admit that she has felt underrated and “underappreciated” in the industry.
Today, December 10, Teyana Taylor made another surprise announcement on her Instagram page to mark her 30th birthday celebration, declaring the start of a brand new career as the Creative Director for Pretty Little Thing clothing brand.
“Dirty 30 and it’s time to make some more BIG moves. Remember when I said “when one door closes another one opens..either that or I’m picking the locks”? Well I damn sure did,” she wrote. Teyena Taylor birthday announcement.
“I am proud to announce that I have officially been named CREATIVE DIRECTOR of @prettylittlething We’re going to be collaborating on some amazing projects together and I cannot wait to get started!”
Teyana Taylor is no stranger to the fashion industry. In the past, she has been the face of campaigns with Reebok and the Pretty Little Thing X Karl Kani collaboration. The Harlem-born artist was also made a brand ambassador of Pretty Little Thing last year.
Also announcing the new development, the clothing brand took to their Instagram page to congratulate Teyana Taylor saying:
“MAKING MOVES ?? We are so excited to announce that @teyanataylor is joining the PLTHQ family as our brand new Creative Director ? 2021 – you ready!? ? P.S. Happy Birthday, girl ✨ It’s gonna be one to remember ?”
