More and more African artists are beginning to tap into the international music market and one of them is rising. Nigerian artist Oxlade who just released a new song titled DKT. Yet Oxlade isn’t the only artist who blessed us with a hot new song this past week.
From Nigeria’s Ladipoe dropping Yoruba Samurai to the Tanzanian duo, Navy Kenzo releasing their new album, Story of the African Mob, the past week was a fruitful one for music industries across the continent.

#1. Oxlade – DKT
Fast rising Nigerian singer and songwriter, Oxlade has released his highly anticipated single title, DKT (Dis Kind Thing). DKT is his first release after his debut EP Oxygen which was critically acclaimed. This new song is about to find it’s way to your RnB playlist, takeover and turn your favourite tune.
#2. Kwesi Arthur ft. Sarkodie – Jehovah
Multiple award winning Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur after a long hiatus is back with a brand new song called Jehovah which features rapper Sarkodie with production credit going to Mog Beatz. Jehovah sits gently with other tracks on Kwesi’s new project This is not the tape, sorry for the wait.
#3. Ladipoe ft. Joeboy – Yoruba Samurai
Mavin golden lyricist, Ladipoe releases another potential hit single titled Yoruba samurai with assist from emPawa music’s Joeboy, produced by Ozedikus. The song is a perfect blend of Rap and catchy RnB delivered by Joeboy. On it, Ladipoe raps about going to War for his lady and making her his priority.
#4. Navy Kenzo ft. Tiggs Da Author – Pon mi
Tanzanian music duo, Navy Kenzo releases a brand new song titled Pon mi, off their latest album Story Of The African Mob. On this new record, they collaborate with UK Grimes rapper, Tiggs Da Author. The song serves as the third single of off their recently dropped album and is accompanied by a lyrics video.
#5. Confess II – Del B, Wizkid, Flavour and Kes
Nigerian producer Del B has teamed up with Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire for a new Afro-soca song titled Consider II, featuring vocals from Afropop stars Wizkid and Flavour and Trinidadian soca artist Kes. The feel-good track perfectly blends influences from West African and the West Indians.
