Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel served as the host for the 89th Academy Awards which held last night and he made sure to keep the status quo by taking swipes at both politics and celebrities. The first award of the evening for Best Supporting Actor went to Mahershala Ali for his role in “Moonlight“, which was then followed by “Suicide Squad” taking the Oscar for Make-up and Styling while “Fantastic Beast And Where To Find Them” won best Costume Design.
The night was filled with a few surprises and even a dramatic envelop mishap that saw Moonlight emerge as winner for Best Picture against La La Land which was initially mistakenly announced as the award winner. See the moment below.
