Its lasting appeal is clear as Nike keeps it alive with awesome retro releases, and the most anticipated one yet is the Galaxy KD 4, which got released just in time for All-Star Weekend.
This iconic shoe returned on February 15, coinciding with KD’s long-awaited comeback to the All-Star stage after injury setbacks. Fans will be thrilled to see it looking almost exactly as they remember: a cool gray upper, a big leather strap, space-themed details inside, and the coolest part—a glow-in-the-dark green sole.
The original Nike KD 4 Galaxy dropped in 2012, inspired by Orlando’s Kennedy Space Center and reflecting a galactic theme across other Nike Basketball releases like the LeBron 9 “Big Bang” and the popular “Galaxy” Foamposite. The NASA patch on the tongue and the speckled black and white heel pay homage, creating a vibe more reminiscent of a fun school space project than a deep-space exploration (and we mean that in the best way!). This shoe was amazing in 2012 and remains out-of-this-world even today.
