Mo Abudu, the CEO of EbonyLife Films, has unveiled her latest venture called Mo Abudu Films. Making the announcement online, the media mogul stated that she was thrilled to dive into this new chapter in her life and career. Abudu will be exploring a wide range of genres and themes as a writer and director using a more personal and intimate approach to storytelling under this film outfit.
She stated, “I strongly believe that film is an incredibly powerful medium to share stories, ideas and perspectives. There are so many shades of life, so many layers to explore, and I am eager to bring my unique voice to the art of storytelling through Mo Abudu Films.”
2. Summer Walker fuels Lil Meech dating rumors
Summer Walker has added fuel to the Lil Meech dating rumors by taking over his social media in a comical fashion. On Monday, May 1, the “BMF” star’s Instagram Story was filled with pics of him and the R&B singer, who took full advantage of IG’s funny filters while they were out and about. Another picture surfaced online over the weekend showing Walker wearing Lil Meech’s massive BMF chain while striking a silly pose.
Dating rumors started to swirl between the two stars last month when Lil Meech appeared at an event with a mystery woman who was wearing a pink ski mask, with internet detectives linking her identity to Walker. Meech also posted photos in his Lamborghini with a blue interior around the same time as Walker, which led fans to further believe the pair had been hanging out.

Sudan’s warring generals have agreed “in principle” to a week’s ceasefire to start from Thursday, the foreign ministry in neighboring South Sudan, one of the countries leading peace efforts, has said. While there is currently a three-day truce in place fighting has continued, with a major humanitarian crisis looming. The violence between the army and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) is now in its third week — with each side accusing the other of breaching previous truces.
South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir stressed the importance of having a longer ceasefire to allow each side to name representatives for peace talks, reports say. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has spoken to leaders from neighboring countries to find ways to resolve the violence in Sudan while the African Union urged the two factions for a sustained ceasefire.

Bill Nighy has denied rumors of a romance with Dame Anna Wintour after the pair’s joint appearance on the Met Gala red carpet set tongues wagging. The actor has denied rumors that he and Dame Anna, both 73, are romantically involved.
On Tuesday, a representative for Nighy said in a statement: “Bill and Anna have simply been great friends for two decades. They are not in a relationship.” Romance rumors were earlier sparked when they were spotted enjoying dinner together in Italy in 2021. The pair were also seen watching his film “Living,” for which he was nominated for an Oscar, at several screenings in New York last year.

Lionel Messi has been suspended by PSG for two weeks after making an unsanctioned trip to Saudi Arabia, per reports. Messi traveled to Saudi Arabia, apparently without getting prior approval from the club, and will subsequently miss games against Troyes and Ajaccio. He may have even played his last match for PSG, depending on how the dust settles over the coming days.
Messi’s contract with PSG expires at the end of this season, meaning there are only three more games he will be eligible for in Ligue 1. The player has appeared to flirt with the idea of playing in Saudi Arabia before, sharing a sponsored post from the nation on Instagram last month.
