Miss Nigeria Organization is calling for entries into the 41st and Diamond Jubilee edition of the most prestigious and oldest pageant in Nigeria. The platform was built to empower women beyond beauty. This gives a select number of young women a chance to represent the 37 states (including the FCT) in Nigeria. Through very various strategic activities, they will be empowered to showcase their individual talents while competing for the crown of Miss Nigeria 2017.
Therefore, with a wholesome combination of vintage glamour and modern elegance, the Miss Nigeria pageant promotes positive attributes of Nigerian women and, importantly, does not include a swimsuit competition nor any other competitions that do not exude modesty. In addition to winning the prestigious crown, the winner of the Miss Nigeria 2017 competition will be rewarded with a luxury car, N3 million, one-year free accommodation in Lagos, and other amazing prizes and benefits. Interested applicants into the Miss Nigeria 2017 competition must be female Nigerian citizens between the ages of 18 and 25 years. They must be of good health and character, must not be married, mothers nor pregnant. They must also speak fluent English and not have any visible tattoos or body piercings.
Interested young women living outside the country and with valid Nigerian citizenship can also apply. To do this, applicants should submit a 2-minute video clip stating their name, age, occupation, a brief background and reasons why they wish to become Miss Nigeria 2017 competition.
