Nollywood darling Sharon Ooja has joined the growing list of Nigerian celebrities who got married this year as she revealed that she has exchanged wedding vows with her heartthrob in a private civil ceremony. The award-winning actress announced the news in a heartfelt post on her Instagram account on Saturday, March 23. She revealed that she said yes to the wedding proposal a few months ago, adding that the civil ceremony is done and dusted.

Sharing the intimate details of the journey to marital bliss, Ooja expressed her joy and gratitude to her newlywed partner, who he described as her “Odogwu silencer.” “A few months ago I said yes to my odogwu silencer as I call him as he came and silenced the noise, my Igbo king 😍civil ceremony done and dusted ink dried yes I’m fully a mrs as I type this,” she said.

Former Miss SA and Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi has scored a massive deal as the new brand ambassador for haircare company, Dark and Lovely and the spokesperson for the Sub-Saharan Africa region. The brand announced the news: “With her grace, strength, and empowering spirit, Zozibini embodies the essence of our brand,” they said. “Get ready to be inspired as we embark on this journey together, celebrating beauty in all its forms. 4. Normani to release first ‘Dopamine’ single “1:59” in April

The first song of “Dopamine,” the debut album from Normani, will be released on April 26. The anticipated update regarding new music came on March 23. “So, basically, my first single ‘1:59’ will be coming out [on April 26],” tweeted the former Fifth Harmony group member at exactly 1:59 p.m. EST. It features an assist from Gunna, too.

For weeks, fans have been in the dark about when exactly they could expect to hear what she has in store for the long-awaited LP. The project’s name and gag-worthy cover art, which shows the RCA recording artist riding a black rocket while adorned in a leather and chain ensemble, were revealed on February 21. But nothing else about the album had been teased, at least not until Friday, March 22.

5. Coco Gauff beats Oceane Dodin in straight sets to reach fourth round

American Coco Gauff progressed to the last 16 at the Miami Open with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Oceane Dodin. US Open champion Gauff fell a break of serve behind and trailed 4-2 in the opening set. But the 20-year-old produced an emphatic response, winning the next 10 games without replying to seal victory in just over an hour. Third-seeded Gauff will face France’s Caroline Garcia, who beat America’s Naomi Osaka, in the next round.

Garcia emerged a 7-6 (7-4) 7-5 winner against four-time major winner Osaka in their third-round match. World number one Iga Swiatek is also through after coming from a set down to beat Czech Linda Noskova 6-7 (7-9) 6-4 6-4.
