On Monday, Grammy Award-winning singer Mariah Carey announced her upcoming Merry Christmas One and All tour. The Queen of Christmas will stop in several major cities, including Chicago, Boston, Toronto, Detroit, and more. The tour will start in Highland, California, on November 15 and make 13 stops before wrapping up at New York City’s famous Madison Square Garden on December 17.

“Yes, the actual defrosting has begun!” the singer captioned the post. “Announcing the MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL Tour!” Tickets for presales will begin Wednesday, October 4 at 10 a.m. local time, with general tickets going live on Friday, Oct. 6 at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com.

Nigerian musician Seun Kuti, son of Afrobeats legend Fela Kuti, recently walked the runway during the Casablanca Day of Victory fashion show. He graced the runway on Day 7 of Paris Fashion Week, strutting in a piece called Stuntman on Set that featured a white and green bodysuit with a flag-style stripe with blue and green hues. The singer was modeling the contemporary French brand Casablanca on its Day of Victory Printemps-Été 2024 runway show.

Jay-Z and Meek Mill pulled out all the stops this past Saturday, September 30, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. They hosted a James Bond-themed gala aimed at raising money for the REFORM Alliance. The event took place at the Ocean Casino Resort and featured a high-stakes blackjack tournament with a $100,000 buy-in, according to reports. Kevin Hart took on the role of emcee for the evening, while artists like Quavo and Travis Scott provided live performances.

Among those in attendance were familiar faces like Ne-Yo, Fabolous, Walo, Fat Joe, La La Anthony, Tiffany Haddish, French Montana, Jack Harlow, Lil Durk, and Jadakiss, to name a few. The star-studded affair reportedly garnered over $24 million. Art played a key role in the fundraising efforts. Tom Brady and Kim Kardashian each placed $2 million bids on works by George Condo, who previously collaborated with Kanye West.

5. Simone Biles makes history at the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships

Simone Biles returned to the global stage in groundbreaking fashion on Sunday, October 1, at the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp, Belgium. The seven-time Olympic medalist became the first woman to successfully execute the Yurchenko double pike vault, which subsequently secured her position at the top of the women’s all-around qualification. Biles launched herself into the air and completed a sequence that ended with a nearly flawless landing.

Team USA also performed exceptionally well, logging a total qualifying score of 171.395. The number virtually guaranteed a spot in the final, outdoing 2022’s first-place sum total of 167.263. This championship marked Biles’ first major international event since the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
