After New York Fashion Week, the fashion industry converged to London on September 15 for a catwalk extravaganza that featured well-known brands like Burberry, Erdem, Roksanda, and more. Before the event kicked off, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour presided over Vogue World, a star-studded event touted as Britain’s response to New York’s Met Gala. The London Fashion Week SS24 show was a spectacular sight of more than 80 designers who paraded their up-to-par creations at more than 50 catwalk displays and other events.

In his spring/summer 2024 collection for Burberry, Daniel Lee, the 37-year-old creative director, debuted interlocking chain designs and a fresh, brilliant “Knight Blue” shade. Silhouettes were lengthened and adorned with cushioned khaki bags and red, white, and green structured leather bags. Along with variations of Burberry’s trench coat in camel and black with pops of its reinvented iconic check print on the collar, models paraded the runway in blue-soled high-heel sandals. With chain press tools holding light dresses and sets in place, Lee chose sleek, airy, deconstructed floral knit dresses with sheer accents for nighttime wear.

Erdem Moralioglu combed through the records at Chatsworth Palace, the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire’s residence in the north of England, for his spring/summer 2024 collection. Long, bare-shouldered dresses and skirts made of organza and satin resembled those of a princess from a fairy tale.

Crocs and footwear manufacturer Simone Rocha teamed up to debut a partnership for London Fashion Week spring/summer 2024. In order to create new designs that combine the recognizable brand DNA of Crocs with the Simone Rocha aesthetic, Simone Rocha x Crocs investigates the creative tension between femininity and utilitarianism. Simone Rocha’s trademark pearl, crystal, and jet beading is included on some of the socks in three new Crocs models.

A number of fresh faces, like Aaron Esh, a finalist for the LVMH Prize, Permu, and Tolu Coker, as well as the Scandinavian brand Holzweiler, which was formerly a fixture on the Danish fashion calendar, made their impact on the London scene. In addition, Matty Bovan made his city debut, Harri presented its inaugural LFW collection, and Chopova Lowena put on another entertaining show. From Burberry to Tolu Coker, London Fashion Week gave us designs to fawn over. Here are our favorites.
