See Some Of The Best Designs At London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2021

A fashion and culture enthusiast who's really a food loving…
Unlike New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2021, London Fashion Week had over 80 designers showcasing their collections. With New York Fashion Week happening mostly on screens, London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2021 experimented with blending physical and digital fashion weeks.
The week kicked off with Burberry telling their own contemporary fairy tale that reflected the juxtaposition of the mystical and the natural as models emerged from the woods wearing Ricardo Tisci’s signature tailoring-meets-streetwear staples. Gareth Pugh returned to London Fashion Week with a collection that was made in collaboration with renowned photographer Nick Knight and digital artist Jon Emmony. The collection celebrates the eternal interplay between fashion, music, and film and was presented as a “visual concept album”, featuring 13 looks inspired by 13 iconic songs. Michael Halpern paid tribute to the heroines of the frontline by dressing eight key workers from across the public service sector who have been working throughout the lockdown period. Victoria Beckham, on the other hand, featured jeans for the first time while Bora Aksu took us back to 1918 with a collection inspired by World War I, the deadly flu pandemic towards the end of the war, and the nurses who worked tirelessly throughout. Nigerian-born British designer, Duro Olowu also showed a strong collection that showcased his innovative combinations of mixed prints, patterns and textiles in a way that put him in a class by himself.
