The much anticipated Lagos Bridal Fashion Week is finally over! The show which ran from the 4th to the 6th of May at Federal Place, Victoria Island, was the first of its kind in Nigeria. The show was home to amazing designers showcasing their talent to a room filled with buyers, bridal fashion lovers, editors, photographers, soon-to-be brides and more. Among those were Abuja-based designer Yemi Shoyemi who showcased her first ever collection on Day 1 leaving the crowd was wowed.
Yemi Shoyemi who started sewing at age five presented a collection that was nothing short of dreamy. Yemi was able to work with ivory tulle, beautiful trimmings, Chantilly lace and more, some of which were hand embroidered in a such a contemporary way that would make any bride fall in love with her collection.
The collection featured dresses for the modern bride with a strong personality; one who’s looking to make a statement without looking like every other bride on an Instagram feed. Besides the detailing, the fit on the models is what any bride would fall in love with.
