1. Nigeria: Kiddwaya, DJ Cuppy to star in British reality show ‘Highlife’

Nigerian celebrities Kiddwaya and DJ Cuppy are set to star in a new Black British reality show titled “Highlife.” The Channel 4-produced reality series will follow the lives of young British Nigerians and their pursuit of success.

Confirming his addition to the reality show, Kiddwaya shared on Twitter: “I’m so excited to announce I’m part of the brand-new docu-ality series Highlife, starting Friday 10th September at 10pm on prime time Channel 4. It’s the first show of its kind in British history and it promises to deliver on jaw dropping original content.”

2. Drake announces ‘Certified Lover Boy’ release date

Following several delays, Drake has revealed an official release date for his upcoming album, “Certified Lover Boy.” On Friday morning, the rapper interrupted ESPN‘s regularly scheduled SportsCenter program with a cryptic, glitchy commercial that made the announcement. Stylized in the form of a broadcast hack, the stealthy ad featured a piece of cardboard with a clear, handwritten message: “CLB September 3.”

Recall that earlier this month, Drake confirmed that Certified Lover Boy was finished and will be released at the end of summer.

Mthokozisi “Zulu” Mkhathini has made his musical comeback. He launched his album, “Spirit of Ubuntu,” on Friday, August 27. The rapper says he took a four-year hiatus to work on himself and rethink his mission. Zulu, who also had a stint as a television presenter, says he’s looking to get back into that space now, but wants his next gig to be more meaningful.

Announcing his return, the artist also said that he’s taking a new approach to how he carries himself as a public figure and will shut out the noise.

4. Tunisia’s Paralympic shot put champion breaks record

Tunisia’s Paralympic veteran Raoua Tlili has proven she reigns supreme by winning gold in the women’s shot put F41 in Japan, and also broke a world record in the process. She produced the 10.55m record-breaking throw in the second round.

This is the 31-year-old’s fifth Paralympic gold – following on from two at Rio in 2016, one in London in 2012 and her first in 2008 Beijing games. It’s also Tunisia’s first medal at the Paralympics.

5. Cristiano Ronaldo: Man United ‘reach agreement’ to re-sign Juventus forward

Manchester United have confirmed they have reached an agreement to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus. United have agreed to pay £12.8m for the 36-year-old, with the deal subject to personal terms, a visa, and a medical. “Everyone at the club looks forward to welcoming Cristiano back to Manchester,” said a United statement.

United’s announcement came after a dramatic 24 hours. Neighbors Manchester City had looked to be one of the favorites to land the forward and some reports suggested personal terms had already been agreed upon between the two. However, Ronaldo has opted to return to United where he spent six years.
