1. Kevin Hart to become the next recipient of the Mark Twain Prize For American Humor

To be honored in this commemorative year feels surreal,” said the Philadelphia actor, comedian, and mogul. “Comedy is my outlet for social commentary and observations on life. I am grateful to the Kennedy Center for recognizing my voice and impact on culture. I can’t wait to celebrate!”
Kennedy Center President, Deborah F. The popularity of “Unavailable” has continued to grow rapidly, with celebrities, football stars, and others all hopping on the viral challenge on social media.

4. Rema says Edo culture inspired the art direction for his O2 Arena concert

Rema has enjoyed a remarkable 2023 with his hit single “Calm Down” enjoying global success, which he marked with a landmark sold-out show at the famous O2 Arena. However, the show has since sparked a reaction from some concertgoers who found his choice of clothing and stage props to carry elements of demonic undertones. The Nigerian superstar entered the concert riding on a horse while clothed in a black flowing robe and adorned in a red mask. Rema also made a second grand entrance, clothed in red and black, while riding to the stage on the back of a huge bat with red eyes.
According to Rema, his decision was inspired by Edo culture, whose awe-inspiring arts were carted away by the invading British in 1897 and remain locked up in the London Museum, far away from the Bini Kingdom where they rightfully belong. The horse he rode is synonymous with Edo art, while the mask is fashioned after that of the great Edo monarch, Queen Idia. Rema’s imagery has always carried esoteric elements, and some fans who are conversant with his avant-garde approach might not ascribe it to the dark arts. However, several other fans and observers consider it to be disturbing.

AC Milan defender, Alessandro Florenzi is under investigation for alleged illegal gambling, weeks after Sandro Tonali and Nicolo Fagioli were banned. According to reports, the Milan right-back is being investigated for alleged illegal gambling as the betting scandal in the country rolls on. Both Juventus’ Nicolo Fagioli and Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali have already been banned, for seven months and 10 months, respectively.
Florenzi, it is reported, is expected to meet with the Italian prosecutor in the coming days to discuss the case. He remains a useful member of Milan’s squad and has started five Serie A games this season while coming off the bench on five other occasions. The 32-year-old has a contract with Milan until 2025 and is also a seasoned Italian international player, with 49 caps under his belt. He has played 49 times for the San Siro club since joining in 2022. He faces an anxious wait over the outcome of the investigation.
