Keke Palmer will be releasing her second studio album and a documentary both of which are titled Big Boss on May 12. This will be her first music release since 2020. The actress-singer took to her Instagram account on Friday, May 5 to reveal the tracklist and release date of the album. In the caption, the new mom wrote, “BIG BOSS TRACKLIST REVEAL. My new film and album #BigBoss is dropping on May 12 and I am beyond excited for you all to experience it! Thank you for joining me on this journey.”
The documentary will give viewers a peek at her illustrious career from the backstage. The teaser of the film includes various snippets from Keke’s formative years as well as new footage with an unreleased song playing in the background. She described it as “a musical narrative that chronicles my experience in the music industry.”
2. Asake announces date for landmark O2 Arena concert

Nigerian music star Asake has announced the date for his landmark performance at the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena. The much-awaited concert will take place on August 8, per his announcement on April 5. Famously known as Mr. Money With the Vibe, Asake has established himself as a foremost hitmaker whose music has defined the recent Afrobeats soundscape.
Asake’s O2 Arena concert is coming off the back of his hugely successful UK tour during which he sold out Brixton Hall in less than five minutes on three different occasions. The feverish demand for his appearance in the UK has likely inspired the star to aim higher.

Deascesed rapper AKA was the biggest winner at the Metro FM Music Awards 2023. The rapper, who was shot dead outside a restaurant in Durban on February 10, won Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Hip Hop Artist, and Best Male Artist. AKA’s father Tony Forbes, mother Lynn Forbes, daughter Kairo, and business partner Raphael Benza took to the stage to accept the accolades on his behalf.
Vth Season record label executive Raphael Benza told the media this was the late rapper’s biggest music accomplishment. “It’s reaffirming to see what a brand and music legend he has become. Coming home as the biggest winner at Metro FM awards again after 12 years was part of his milestones when we started the Album project three years ago. 50 Cent wants a cut of the ownership pie over at BET. The burgeoning television mogul has teamed up with “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris and four-time NBA Championship winner Shaquille O’Neal. According to reports, the three men have teamed up in hopes of solidifying a deal to secure majority ownership of BET Media Group. The “I Get Money” rapper confirmed on Instagram the reports that he is eyeing the massive purchase.
On Friday, May 5, the Power creator posted a screenshot of a Wall Street Journal story about the hopeful acquisition. In the caption, he wrote, “GLG. Green Light Gang, you know I don’t miss. Let’s play let’s make a deal!” According to further reports, the trio was spotted at Paramount offices in New York earlier last week.

Alexandre Lacazette has surged above Kylian Mbappe in the Ligue 1 goal charts after netting four times in a thrilling 5-4 victory over Montpellier. The ex-Arsenal striker, who returned to his roots as a free agent in the summer of 2022, has moved on to 24 efforts for the season — one more than World Cup winner Mbappe has managed at Paris Saint-Germain. Lacazette hit the top spot in a thrilling contest on Sunday, with Lyon trailing 4-1 just before the hour mark. A stunning fightback saw Lacazette complete a hat-trick and then some, with his most decisive contribution coming into the 10th minute of stoppage time.
PSG will also be in action on Sunday, away at Troyes, meaning that Mbappe will get the opportunity to edge himself back to the top of a notable list.
