1. Actor Jonathan Majors arrested in alleged violent domestic dispute

Actor Jonathan Majors was arrested in New York City on Saturday after a woman alleged she was assaulted in what law enforcement described as a domestic dispute. Majors, 33, was taken into custody in the late morning based on allegations of strangulation, assault, and harassment, the New York Police Department said in a statement. Priya Chaudhry, an attorney representing Majors, said that her team was gathering evidence to present to the district attorney regarding Majors’ innocence. She expects that “all charges will be dropped imminently.”

Police said they had responded to a 911 call from a location in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan at about 11:14 a.m. Saturday, where a woman, identified only as a 30-year-old, said she had been assaulted by Majors. Police, who said they verified the woman’s claims after a preliminary investigation, said she was injured in what the NYPD described as a domestic dispute.

UPDATE:

Jonathan Majors’ attorney has claimed that the woman who accused him of assault has recanted her allegations in writing after the actor was arrested this weekend. Majors’ attorney, Priya Chaudhry, told the press that her team has obtained “two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations.” The rising movie star was arrested Saturday in New York on charges of strangulation, assault and harassment.

In a statement released shortly after the arrest, Chaudhry claimed that the woman “was having an emotional crisis, for which she was taken to the hospital” and that Majors “did not assault her whatsoever.” Majors’ team said they are “quickly gathering and presenting evidence” — including video footage from “the vehicle where this episode took place” and testimony from witnesses — to the district attorney and expect the charges to be dropped soon.

On Friday, March 24, Beyoncé announced that she worked alongside Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing to bring her Renaissance album “to life in couture.” The limited edition collaboration—with hammered metal breastplates and crystal pendant bustiers meant to look like chandeliers—may not be the visuals everyone is eagerly anticipating, but they do come close. Over the course of five months, Beyoncé, her stylist Marni Senofonte, the Balmain design team, and Rousteing came together to turn the sketches into actual couture creations.

Each one-of-a-kind couture piece is directly inspired by a specific Renaissance lyric. The collection came as a surprise to everyone. Rousteing said the elimination of a roll-out and marketing plan allowed for this dream environment in which they could just create art.

5. Thomas Tuchel replaces Julian Nagelsmann as Bayern Munich head coach

Bayern Munich have announced that Thomas Tuchel will become the record Bundesliga champions’ new coach after the club parted ways with former tactician Julian Nagelsmann. Previously in charge at Mainz, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea, Tuchel arrives at the Allianz Arena on a contract that runs until June 30, 2025. He leads his first training session at Säbener Straße on Monday, March 27, ahead of the following weekend’s Der Klassiker meeting against Dortmund.

Nagelsmann departs with his side in second place in the Bundesliga standings, one point behind leaders BVB, while Bayern are also in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.
