It’s official guys! Jeannie Mai, one of the hosts of popular show, ‘The Real’ and her rapper/philanthropist boyfriend, Jay Wayne Jenkins, who is popularly known as Jeezy, are engaged! People broke the news that Jeezy popped the question during a special date night at his Los Angeles home on March 27.
The 42-year-old Jeezy and 41-year-old Jennie Mai met on the set of her daytime talk show and started dating in November 2018. Mai and Jeezy didn’t confirm their romance until August 2019.
Jeezy had originally planned to propose to Jeannie Mai sometime in April during a planned trip to Vietnam but due to the COVID-19 outbreak, he decided to surprise her at his Los Angeles home where they got engaged.
According to Jeannie Mai to People.com, “We both went through enough in our life to connect on the understanding that love should feel safe, honest, and pure. Immediately that was a magnetic attraction. We are very attracted to each other’s passions to serve. So because we have a mutual joy of having purpose, we’re going to find a way to do that together.”
Not only is there a magnetic attraction between the two, they are also in sync when it comes to couple dressing and have been consistently serving goals since they became official.
